minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

I always do this for kicks after switching to and finishing the dial-in for a another coffee and am left with under 15 grams of a previous coffee. I have never been impressed with the result before and will never again try this with light and dark roasts as the one time I tried this was so unpleasant. I don't grind the 2 different beans together but separately at their own dialed-in grind settings.

I've always wondered if the commercially packaged preground blends grind each bean at different sizes or if that would cause some separation over time.
