I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

Coffee smells like women’s perfume!

Hey guys,

I bought this new mug, nothing fancy, just your average porcelain mug.

Every time I make coffee in it, a very distinct women's perfume smell comes out of the mug… my tongue tastes coffee, but my nose smells perfume.

Any idea how this may be? I wash all my dishes with chlorine and dish soap.

I'm concerned that the material in the mug itself is not made for drinking hot drinks out of.

Any ideas?
