On January 11-13, 2023, Dubai will be transformed into a global hotspot of specialty coffee for the second consecutive year, as roasters, producers, baristas, and more come together to celebrate the best of the industry.

Taking place at the Dubai World Trade Center, World of Coffee Dubai is organized by DXB Live in collaboration with the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) and the volunteer leaders of the SCA UAE Chapter. This year the event pays homage to Guatemala, represented by the brand Guatemalan Coffees; its three days will be packed with education, networking, and competitions.

World of Coffee Dubai features a show floor focused entirely on exhibitors and delegates from the specialty-coffee and tea industry.

What’s On at Word of Coffee Dubai

On the show floor, you’ll be able to explore a range of exhibitors and delegates from the specialty-coffee and tea industries, including roasters, producers, and baristas. Visitors can join cupping sessions at the dedicated Cupping Room. At the Brew Bar, you can taste amazing coffees served by talented baristas from around the world.

For those looking for educational opportunities, the event will also host SCA lectures and workshops. Want to keep up with the latest trends and innovations? Don’t miss out on the Best New Product Competition & Display and the Coffee Design Awards. Finally, capping off an incredible weekend of coffee excellence and celebration will be the UAE National Coffee Championships, where the country’s best baristas will battle it out for the title of champion.

World of Coffee Dubai promises to be a celebration of excellence as the industry’s best unite in one place. With an exciting and diverse program, it’s the perfect opportunity to connect with other coffee professionals, build relationships, and create new business opportunities.

Five Years of World of Coffee Dubai Ahead

DXB Live and the SCA have signed an agreement to host the exhibition for five years in the region after the first World of Coffee Dubai, which took place in 2022 and drew more than 7,000 coffee professionals. The event was designed to bring together UAE’s coffee businesses and those looking to break into the Middle East’s blossoming coffee industry. It was held in conjunction with Expo 2020 Dubai at the Dubai Exhibition Center.

The first-ever World of Coffee Dubai drew more than 7,000 coffee professionals from across the region.

Yannis Apostolopoulos, chief executive officer of the Specialty Coffee Association, says, “It is our pleasure to partner with DXB LIVE, to set up this international exhibition, specialized in the coffee industry worldwide, which is ever-increasing in prominence according to the indicators and data. We are confident that the coffee industry in the Gulf region, the Middle East, and North Africa will witness unprecedented momentum in the coming years. The exhibition will create tremendous business opportunities and support the coffee trade in all countries of the region, which enjoy safety and economic stability.”

Visitors will have the option to join cupping sessions in the Cupping Room and taste amazing coffees at the Brew Bar during the exhibition.

Get Involved

As someone who attended Word of Coffee Dubai’s first edition, I can attest to its success. The event offers an awesome opportunity for specialty-coffee businesses to connect with the ever-growing coffee community in the region. It’s a chance to show off products, network with customers and industry professionals, and gain valuable insights into this sector of the UAE’s growing economy. With many more years of Word of Coffee Dubai on the horizon, now is the time to get involved! For registration and more information, head to the event’s website.
