I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

What’s the next step up from grocery store coffee beans/grounds? Want to improve my knowledge

I know about Equal Exchange and the 'better' brands found in grocery stores, but I know they pale in comparison to the types of special beans that coffee connoisseurs use. I am somewhere being knowing enough so that I can avoid the burnt and stale coffee brands, but not enough to know where to go to improve my experience.

How much does the machine or method of preparation matter? I use an SCA certified drip brewer.

I'm used to using creams and such to flavor my coffee, I mainly like medium dark as of now because I can't handle any darker roasts. Salt didn't help with tolerance that much.
