minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

hi guys.

i was wondering if i can get some hand holding here.

i dont want to go to crazy with coffee. so i just want to know the basics about it. I know i should read the wiki, but i am not trying to make coffee into a whole hobby and want to avoid getting deep into it.

I spend to much money at starbucks, store bought coldbrew, instant coffees, and want to stop doing that.

I was wondering what would be a good medium level gear set to buy?

also, how do can i get a basis of which coffee beans suit my taste? the only basis i have that i know of is that I found out i like the Medium Roast coffee beans Starbucks uses. I believe its just called "Medium Roast Pike Place" ? i usually drink that black.

I also like various esspresso from starbucks. but my go to are Blond Roast Caffe Latte with an affogato style shot. or a Blonde Espresso Roast Americano. (I only got the medium roast pike place because they once messed up my order. only to figure out i enjoy it)

with that, what gear setup would suit my needs? the only thing i know for sure is i would prefer a pour over method. And a gooseneck kettle
