I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

Sanity check: Did I mess up my new grinder

I made the leap to a quality hand grinder and bought a 1zpresso JX Pro. I probably shouldn't have done this, but a bunch of my grind stuck to the bottom of my burrs the other day. To get it off I gave the grinder a few whacks with the side of my hand. Nothing violent, but enough force to dislodge the stuck bits.

I haven't noticed anything different about the grind or the grinder since then. So yes I know I'm insane but I'm wondering if I could have damaged the grinder at all.
