minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

replacing my electric grinder with a quality manual (mostly for french press, aero)

Hi gang:

my breville smart grinder is nearly 10 yrs old and a bit on the fritz…have been reading up on manual grinders and am intrigued to explore as a next purchase (or the baratza virtuoso plus or the eureka mignon if i stay with electric)… man have manual grinders come a LONG way over the last 5 or so yrs….

so…was looking to spend $300 for one that grinds fast, precisely and won't break down anytime soon.

-I don't do expresso (yet) as i don't have any such machine (if you can recommend a good manual one feel free)…most of the time I'm doing french pressmight also explore the aero press as well.

I consume just one large cup (16-18oz) in the AM and that is sufficient..so i guess this is 30 gm right based on the link at bottom.

i'm so far looking at the izpresso jmax pro....but am open to other suggestions too.

just read this below: guess each morning I'd be grinding about 30 gm for my 18oz if i bought a manual?

How many cups is 10 grams of coffee? (2 Tbsp. = 1/8 cup = 10.6 g). The SCAA defines 10 grams or 0.36 oz. per 6-oz cup as the proper measure for brewed coffee using the American standards.
