I bought a Ratio 6, but am thinking about returning it. The main reason I bought it was I was tired of my Bonavita not evenly saturating the coffee bed. Water comes out of the Bonavita showerhead unevenly, so you sometimes get dry spots, especially during the bloom. I assumed the Ratio 6 would be superior, but when I watch the Ratio 6 brew, the water pulses out of the shower head slightly towards the water tank (instead of straight down). This means during the bloom, the grounds near the outside of the machine barely get touched. It makes great tasting coffee, but so does my Bonavita, and the whole point of buying it was to stop having to worry that the extraction was uneven.

So, does your Ratio 6 showerhead actually evenly saturate the coffee bed?

Also, FWIW, this is my second unit – the first did the same thing and Ratio told me it was defective, but this one does the same.
