Need help understanding coffee machines

Hey, all

I know nothing about coffee or these machines you can buy for the home. However, my partner has suggested she'd like a small coffee machine for Christmas, so I've been browsing. I'm fairly sure I saw her looking at this one, or something similar: DeLonghi EN 80 CW Inissia Nespresso

But I'm just so lost and kinda confused about all these different brands and machines and whatnot. Can I only buy Nespresso pods for this one? If so, they are so expensive for such little coffee… Like, 5 bucks for 10 pods. Is there a more reasonable model?

I dunno where to start with any of this. Basically, I'm looking for the model mentioned above unless there's some obvious trick or knowledge I'm missing.

Thanks
