minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

Is my Niche Zero Broken?

Got my unit secondhand last year and was working perfectly fine until I recalibrated 4 months ago.

  • I use a Breville Bambino Plus and would grind at 18-20 setting before.
  • I dial in every time I change my beans
  • I always make sure my beans are fresh/ newly roasted
  • I clean the machine regularly as well.

I attached a photo below to compare grind at 10 vs 50. Even at 10, my grind is too coarse (almost as if it's for filter already). Things I did wrong:

  • Up until recently, I'd adjust my grind size by moving the black band (the one that clicks) and point the dot to the grind size I want. Didn't know that the dot is for guide and I should be turning the entire knob (silver part) instead.
  • I lost the socket wrench tool that should tighten the 10mm screw and just tightened it manually last time I cleaned.

Did I just break my machine? 🙁 how can I fix this? 🙁
