First time Moccamaster user – am I doing it right?

minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

First time Moccamaster user – am I doing it right?

I just switched from Instant coffee to filtered coffee.
I currently use Hologram beans by Counter Culture,
I grind it with Baratza Virtuoso+ – grind setting is 18.
I use 56g of coffee per 1L of water as recommended.

At this point instant coffee tastes better, but I'm not sure if I just need to experiment with different beans, or I'm doing something wrong with my process.

I added a photo of how my the grounded coffee looks like, I can't really tell if it's too fine, or coarse.
