Caramel sweet coffee taste… only once!

minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

Caramel sweet coffee taste… only once!

Just wondering if anyone could explain something which happened recently…

I have the same go to coffee, I brew in the same way and usually enjoy the coffee, but never really pick out the sweet caramel notes that the coffee suggests.

I usually drink coffee in my office, or at home… However a week ago I was working in the warehouse, and found people commenting how strong my coffee smelt, and how sweet it smelt… As I sipped I tasted the sweetest caramel flavour in my coffee. Its the first time I've ever tasted this sweetness and I've yet to replicate it. (I always brew the same way, same kettle, same temperature, same weight, same coffee, same water)

I usually make my coffee last through its full range of temperature, the only variable I can think is how fast the coffee cooled down with me working In the warehouse?
