How do I incorporate masala spices into my French press coffee without them clumping up?

Hi there. I've started exploring with adding some flavors to my coffee, and I found that a tiny bit of the masala spice blend I use for Chai (the masala is just the spices, no tea, sweetener, or dried dairy) tastes pretty good. My problem is that when I stir the spice into the coffee, it tends to clump (like cinnamon can). When I used a little whisk is was better, but still has small clumps. Is there a better way of doing this? For reference it's probably 1/4th teaspoon spices or less.

My coffee routine:
Boil water in kettle Put grounds + a couple cloves in French press
Add water, let brew
Pour coffee into cup Add a little microwave heated milk Add in a little salt, spices, and honey.

Any advice on how to get some of the spice flavor without having it clump up or float on the surface?
