I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

What was your first coffee setup?

Based on another recent post to r/coffee, it made me wonder how everyone got started in their coffee obsession.

For me, back in the late 90’s I was first enlightened by Starbucks. Had never experienced anything like it and found myself longing for Grande Mochas with whip cream.

Move on a few years I discovered that I could make my own nice coffee at home. I got a cheap $40 burr grinder (I think it was a Capresso) and a glass Bodum French Press. I still have that French press!

Anyway, what was your first setup? How did you land in the crazy world of coffee?
