Should I get into coffee?

Hello, r/Coffee! I do not regularly drink coffee, but recently I have felt the need for caffeine early in the morning for a boost in energy and to wake me up. Unfortunately, I am also the type of person to enjoy quality. When I like something, I want the best possible version of that thing.

Now that I am thinking about making my own coffee at home instead of just buying a cheap cup of coffee in the morning, I have to ask: can this hobby be enjoyed to a high standard of quality without sinking hundreds or thousands of dollars into equipment/ ingredients? Or should I steer away now while I still can? I’m pretty sure it can be done to an extent, and I am completely willing to make a few compromises. Thanks!
