I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

Opinions on organic vs non organic single origin coffee?

Curious to get the boutique coffee community’s opinion on this. We’re already opting to buy small batch, quality roasted single origin coffees, so how important is it for the beans to be organic? I’m a pretty health conscious person and opt to buy organic food whenever possible (especially foods that are known to have high amounts of pesticide residue), but my favorite local roasters’ coffees appear to all be non organic besides their Mexico Chiapas. Alternatively, there’s another local roaster that is all organic and all fair trade, and the coffee is good, but I have found it to be a slight step down from my favorite place. What are everyone’s thoughts on this?
