minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

I'm from India, so haven't got much interaction with real, non-instant coffee.

Got bit by the coffee bug some months back while on the quest for a solid cup of homemade South Indian Filter Kaapi which led me to, first a South Indian filter then a French Press (for frothing milk), and now a V60 plus a hand grinder and some coffee beans.

Yes. my wallet hates me. 😀

But the issue is IDK whether the stuff I have, am brewing, and tasting, is actually any good, you know.

I've attached some pics of some beans I got from a specialty roaster here in India. I wanna know is it any good? What differentiates a good roast from a not-so-good one? And given I grew up chuggin' syrupy tea instead of coffee like you lot, is there a way I can benchmark my coffee?
