Nemox Lux grinder question

Hello, I bought a “new” Nemox Lux grinder from Amazon. It arrived used with the coffee grinds still in it. Now arguing with Amazon over it as the listing says new and from Amazon, but the invoice that arrivi ed with it says a third party company. My question is, is the grinder dial supposed to have a hole in it? It looks to me like a hole has been burnt in it with a soldering iron or something. The reason I ask is Amazon claim it was a used listing, it wasn’t and the order claims it’s brand new, but they want pictures of defects….
