My espresso keeps tasting like…tea? Any idea why?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

My espresso keeps tasting like…tea? Any idea why?

I have a Breville Duo Tempo I’ve always used, a Cuisinart Bur grinder, and I got these beans from Costco they’re the cafe Verona Starbucks beans I bought from Costco. Never had them before but it was ok at first. Past few days, my espressos have been tasting like tea. That’s the only way I can describe it. Not quite burnt but not coffee like… any idea what can be causing this? I’ve been making espressos for years with this two machines and never had this. I thought I was losing my mind at first!
