There are two words that can make the notion of rolling out of bed a little easier in the morning — Shower coffee.

If people can enjoy a shower beer, why can’t this be a thing to at least try and jumpstart our morning routine? Consider it. It’s never not a good time to enjoy that freshly brewed cup in the morning, however long it takes to summon ourselves out of that warm, comfy bed.
Adulting is hard, but this combination might offer up a solution to things we must do in life – bathe regularly and stay caffeinated.
Philadelphia-based food writer Alexandra Jones confessed in a Salon article that she discovered her love of shower coffee as her schedule became more demanding. At one point in time, she had to be up at 6:30 a.m., at the gym by 7:30 a.m., returning home at 8:15 a.m. and logging into work by 9 a.m.
“It seems like a super obvious thing to do now, as I love a good shower beer — or shower seltzer — after being all hot and sweaty working at the farmers’ market or in the garden,” Jones said in her Salon interview. “When I was really tired, I’d do the coffee first and bring it into the shower with me and turn on a podcast, and it felt like a really nice start to the day.”
Food and agriculture journalist and cooking school owner, Deanna Fox credits “time management and efficiency” with her preferred way to simultaneously get clean and obtain caffeinate. If it works, it works.
There is no need for us to suffer. We can get caffeinated and clean at the same time, which is kind of like having our cake and eating it, too – but with a purpose and less calories.
