Moccamaster

Moccamaster

minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

Moccamaster

I’m thinking of buying a Moccamaster.

Most recommend getting a thermal caraf model.

Besides maybe agitating the brew basket with a spoon I don’t plan on doing anything more than weighing the water and coffee and turning it on.

I would like to be able to brew half pots. The glass caraf select model is the only one that is made to do so.

How is the coffee quality of brewing half a pot on any model but the select?

How good or bad is the burner on the glass caraf select model? Will it “burn” the coffee?

Ultimately I wan to buy the KBGT thermal caraf model. I just want o make sure it will brew half a pot well without too much tinkering.

Any input is appreciated.
