Manual or electric single cup… Which is more convenient?

Purely a philosophical question… I often see posts from people where they imply an electric one-cup is more convenient than a manual device like an Aeropress or a V60.

Granted, machines might arguably be more convenient if you never wash them or use fresh coffee, but if you're taking the time to grind is it really that much less convenient to boil a kettle and press an Aeropress? You still have to empty the grounds in either case and the AP just needs a quick rinse to be ready to go again.

What do you think? Is a one-cup machine preferable to manual setup? From what perspectives?
