I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

I know bitterness can be covered with cream. And I know bitterness can be reduced by tweaking grind size and water temperature. But can the perfect cup of black coffee have no bitterness in it?

Because I just realized that I might be chasing an impossible goal.

I use an aeropress, a burr grinder set to 20 clicks, boiling water, a 2:30 minute total steep time, and some (admittedly cheap) grocery bin light roast coffee beans.
