I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

How do you avoid dropping beans?

Unusual question probably. I’ve just gotten a dog, a Labrador, who loves eating everything that could possibly maybe be eaten. That includes coffee beans, which are rather dangerous to them.

I sometimes manage to drop a few beans when dosing, no matter how hard I try not to. And every time I have to fight my dog to get them before he does. It’s making my brew a bit too exciting.

So, what do you do to avoid dropping beans?

Should I go to a dog sub instead?
