I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

The other day I went out to grab a beer with some new friends and one of them said, "I'm starting to get into more fancy coffees", and I secretly got a little excited because when someone says this I immediately think, 'YES. Someone I can geek out with about coffee." He then followed it up with "I've started getting lattes and cappuccinos at [the local gas station]." At which point all hopes of having a coffee companion died. And then to rub it in more, one of my already established friends chimes in and say, "Steven here roast his own coffee." and which point everyone looked at me like I had three heads. Oh for the good ole days of my grandma's coffee when 'fancy' meant, "Do you want cream or sugar in your Folgers coffee?"
