Espresso vs. French Press

Is it just me or does French Press just hit differently when doing high-focus continuous work? I see all this hype about espresso enthusiast, and I love La Marzocco and a nice shot when I am socialising or on holiday, but for me nothing hits like a French Press at work. I usually drink 2-3 cups, and each one is a fresh new press for me. I usually put around 15 grams of ground coffee which I grind at home from average intensity beans. There is an espresso shop near my work and I do go for Americanos (usually 2-3 shots with half the water for me as I have a high tolerance) when I forget my coffee at home but it just doesn’t hit the same. With my French Press coffee especially when I had proper sleep the night before, I get so much done and I am so on. What are people’s thoughts on this?
