minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

Hi,

Not a usual problem, just want to know what happened here. This morning I had a very strange and unusual shot with my Delonghi Dedica. After 5 seconds of fine brewing the Dedica could not brew more coffe even I could hear the pump trying to put the water out in the next 20-30 seconds.

As in the first seconds the Dedica could brew some coffee I don't think it was a grind setting issue (the flow path for the water was created at that moment). My only theory is that the CO2 expelled in the initial brewing generated backward pressure and the machine could not generate enough pressure to counter it. Any other ideas?

As additional info, my grinder is a niche zero, the roast is fresh (roasted 5 days ago) and is medium-dark roast.
