Electric milk heater/frother/steamer/thingamajig?

minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

Electric milk heater/frother/steamer/thingamajig?

So I've been wanting to make lattes for awhile, though I don't own an espresso machine. I've looked into them, and don't mind spending a fat amount of cash if I were to find one, as I've worked as a barista in the past and do appreciate a good espresso.

However, I can't settle on a good espresso machine, as all the ones I've read about have conflicting reviews. (If anyone can recommend a good one here for $1500 or less I'm all ears.)

So I thought I'd go for a milk steamer instead and just use some concentrated aeropress coffee for the base. Not the same thing I know, but good enough for me.

But I can't find a good steamer! All of the ones are either A: come as part of an all-in-one espresso machine with average reviews, B: Only function as a milk frother instead of heater/steamer, or C: Come as an electric frother/heater combo but always make an insane amount of froth with no way to tone it down without just sinking the excess froth if you're not looking for an ultra-lite cappuccino.

So what do you use to make lattes at home in this sub?
