Does anyone have opinions on the quality of the Schaerer Coffee Art C machines that are now used by many gas stations and convenience stores?

It seems like over the past 5-7 years, many of the nicer gas stations and convenience stores have switched to bean-to-cup coffee. Even some of the shitty ones, like Circle K, have made this move. Most seem to rely on the Schaerer Coffee Art C or other similar machines.

For context, I just had a decaf cup from one at a Kum & Go, and it was absolutely horrible. Tasted like flavorless burned water. On the other hand, I've had a great experience at other chains like RaceTrac.

I'm somewhat of a coffee noob personally, but I do make a solid cup at home using either my Aeropress or my pour over. Typically purchase single origin beans or blends from either Equator or Verve.
