I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

My last bag of freshly roasted coffee from a reliable roaster tasted like hay no matter what I did. In trying to find why, I cam across Lance's sorting video. Do you sort your coffee and has it been worth the effort or changed your cup? The last bag I got took about a few minutes while the kettle was boiling and ended up with 1.8g out of 12 ounces that seemed suspect. I threw it out before I thought that UI should make a cup with just those beans to see how it tastes.
