Can’t get my pour over coffee to stay hot

Y'all I just got the Cosori Pour over coffee carafe. I've got the recipe down, and I'm heating my water in a tea kettle, even to boiling, and by the time I get my coffee into a cup it's only warm. What am I doing wrong?! Lol it tastes delicious but I shouldn't have to microwave it right??

I'm not going super slow either. I put my syrup in the cup before the coffee is done, add a little cream, but I don't think it's enough to make it that cool. (Its half and half so it's refrigerated and if it's that I'm going to feel super dumb lol).

Ideas? 🤷🤷
