I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

Can Espresso have identical extraction to regular percolation brews?

Leaving aside the concentration part. Can you produce something like the title says?

I've tried many Americanos, some are very impressive and close to what I find to be an ideal filter brew, but not really exactly similar. You could still tell it's Espresso based. Even though the concentration of the cup equals that of a regular (not pressurized) percolation brew

From the knowledge I have, there doesn't seem to be any reason why we can't create similar extractions in both ways. But my knowledge is obviously limited
