Can CE Marking on Niche Grinder be fake?

Niche CE Marking

Recently I bought a Niche Coffee grinder, and currently, I'm trying to get it processed through customs in Turkey. But I cannot do it because customs are requesting from me the Declaration of Conformity document of the grinder.

A Declaration of Conformity (DOC) document is the basis of CE marking on products. It is a formal declaration by a manufacturer, or the manufacturer's representative, that the product to which it applies meets all relevant requirements of all product safety directives applicable to that product.

Companies are publishing these documents and there's nothing confidential about it.

Examples of DOC documents

Saeco/Philips even published it in 22 languages to ease customs processes.

I have been communicating with James from Niche Coffee for 4 days now, and he responded to my request very suspiciously.

First, he said they don't have such a document which is impossible if their CE marking is legit.

Then he said they don't want to share it, then he said to disregard what he said and I will provide you with something.

Then he shared an outdated test document which is not a DOC. Then he said they can't share DOC again.

This kind of back and forth makes me very suspicious of their CE marking. Why aren't they sharing the document while all of the companies are happy to publish it?

Is it possible that their CE marking is fake?

All of my communication with James from Niche Coffee

By the way, I will be paying an extra $250 to get the grinder inspected in customs if I don't provide a DOC.

PS: I have nothing against the company but their behavior certainly pissed me off.

EDIT:

Apparently, a certain Reddit squad has been at work for several hours to downvote all of my messages. I heard of this before, but I didn't believe it. Now that it has happened to me, I believe now that they exist. I don't care even if they downvote me to oblivion.

Unfortunately the more we go into this CE marking issue the more it gets suspicious. I wasn't expecting this much fight between people trying to support a simple question and a downvoting squad. I just wanted to get my grinder and be happy.

It was just a stupid document that exploded into something much more.

I will try not to post anything about this anymore as this has been very exhausting for me.
