minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

Bonavita 8-cup taking 15 mins for water to get through filter.

Hey all, recently my Bonavita 8 Cup coffee machine has been taking 15 minutes for the water to get through the filter and into the carafe. The water just sits in the filter. This only recently started happened over a year since I’ve been using it. I descaled the Bonavita last week too!

I use an Encore burr grinder and have tested both fine grounds & course grounds to see if that will make a difference but water still just sits in the filter barely dripping out. I recently cleaned the Encore as well just in case.

I don’t know what is causing the water to not flow into the carafe. I use filters from Target, which I know isn’t great, but have been using them since the beginning so I don’t know why that would be the issue. Unless I bought a bad pack?

Any tips would be appreciated! Tired of waiting for my coffee to drip!
