Bialetti Moka Pot Question

I'm cleaning / refurbishing an old moka pot and want to replace the gasket.

How do I determine what size? If I measure out the water up to the line just below the relief valve, it's 16 oz, which would make me assume that it is an 8 cup, but they don't make an eight cup.

Would that make it the 9 cup model? Or am I overfilling it and it's a 6 cup model? It has a stamp on the bottom that is "M16", but I don't know if that's any kind of actual indication of size?
