minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

Baratza Encore M2 Burr Upgrade: Speed Stats

Last night I upgraded to the M2 Burr. I did it the "easy" way and found it to take about 10 minutes.

My first step was to measure the time to grind. I did use some crummy, over-roasted coffee. I didn't want to use my precious self-roasted coffee because this was a night-time experiment.

Original M3 Burr:

Grind Setting: 20

Grams of Coffee: 20g

Time to Grind: 32 Seconds

M2 Burr:

Grind Setting: 20 (I believe it's grinding finer at 20 now. I need to adjust. If it IS grinding finer at "20", that means this took even longer than an equally coarse grind)

Grams of Cofee: 20g

Grind Time: 18 Seconds

The control group here is decent, but not perfect.

That is a 77% decrease in time. Or 77% faster grind times! edit: My percents might be off. The seconds are still right. Checking in on numbers.
