minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

Accidently brewed a 1:20 single cup of coffee and it was amazing.

Was brewing a 1:16 cup (15 grams, 240ml) and lost my trans of thought and hit 300-320ml by accident. I was tempted to throw my coffee away and start over, but since it was from an advent calendar I decided to taste this brew.

Folks, it was great! It wasn't watery/weak, just more delicate. I could taste every note and the aroma was incredibly strong. I researched this and turns out the golden ratio for filter coffee 1:18!? My mind is blown so now I am experimenting with 1:17 and 1:18 ratios instead of my usual 1:16 for light roast.

My theory is that due to using a method/recipe that increases extraction (medium fine grind, 97-99c temp), my coffee benefits from higher ratios for balance.
