Grinder for drip, pour over, and French press

I've been looking to buy a new grinder, I have a Eureka mignon filtro but I'm not happy with how it grinds on the courser end of the spectrum. Its just a mess of huge pieces and small fines and even on some pour overs the grind isnt very good either. I'd prefer a stepped vs a stepless grinder and I want to stay under 500. The only grinder I see so far that claims to shine at drip, press, and pour over is the Virtuoso Plus which at 250 bucks I'm not sure if it's the ticket or if there's something better for my price range. Not going to be doing espresso with this grinder.
