I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

Can one prepare an Americano with V60?

I read that the ideal ratio for V60 is somewhere near 1:16, but occasionally I would like to drink a very long coffee without increasing the amount of caffeine. Is there a nice way to make an americano with a V60? Would you add water first, after, or simply pour more during the brewing? Or is it not even worth it because the taste is not strong enough?
