I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

I am trying to get into coffee culture, but at the same time I'd like to be sold a little on the utility of expanding beyond the American standard. Since taste is so subjective, I find it difficult to assess a uniform answer for each of the modes of preparation. Please assist a newcomer to the world of coffee if you could spare it.
