minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

RO + re-mineralization

I have hard water that causes scale build up in my espresso machine and fellow kettle. My towns water report says it is around 100-240 mg/L average 113

I have been using my fridge water so at least the chlorine is filtered out. I want to buy a under sink water filter that will soften and remineralize my water.

I’ve seen the BWT Bestmax Premium is great for softening and re-mineralizing but I don’t think it filters the water from Chlorine and other toxins.

So I would like to buy a RO system then add a remineralizer under my sink. The issue is there are so many different brands and systems.

What do I need to keep scale away and have great tasting coffee, espresso, and drinking water?
