need help with kalita

Hello,

I recently bought a kalita 102 dripper to make pour over coffee. I used medium grind coffee close to a v60. It was my very first time making coffee like this and it turned out weak. It was bitter and tasted nothing like what the beans propose. It had a generic coffee taste. i followed this recipe : http://homebrewedcoffeelab.com/how-to-make-pour-over-coffee-using-the-kalita-102 as close to possible but it isnt yielding the hoped result. Do you have any advice that can help me make better pour over as a beginner ?

thanks.
