minimum dose size?

I use the Hario switch to brew my coffee and am trying to reduce my caffeine consumption. Hence I would like to brew smaller cups of coffee. I am currently using 10g of coffee with 160g of water. (1:16 Ratio) I am wondering if there is a minimum amount of coffee...

Does anybody have any real tips on how to clean this thing? When I googled this subject, it says use a soft brush to like brush it off but the thing is I can't find anything like that at the store…. Does anybody think an unused toothbrush will do just as well?

It's the 12 cup model. Honestly I would have preferred to hand grinder if I could find one that wasn't above my price range. However the Mr coffee burr grinder, is a grinder and finally I have decent coffee.
