1zpresso hand grinder – maintenance (oiling?)

Hi all

Is there any need to oil/protect the burrs (and body) of the grinder? I never use water and just a brush to clean the disassembled grinder every month, but wondered whether the lifetime of the grinder/burr set is affected by a failure to oil/protect the grinder?

I live in Sydney, Australia so fairly high humidity in Summer.

PS. I'm fairly strong but I can't get my X-Pro bottom ringer to detach from the main body, it's fused. Any tips short of using metal tools which would bend/deform the grinder? I thought about heating the unit in an oven to hopefully expand it, but not sure.
